Expected Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, students should be able to describe the fundamental principles of workplace prevention and protection; understand and recognize the main risk factors (biological, physical, chemical, organizational, ergonomic); define the main prevention and protection measures for eliminating/reducing risk factors; analyze a work environment to identify potential risk situations; and understand the main calculation models for assessing synthetic risk indices.

Course Structure

Lectures will include theoretical content presentations complemented by slides and videos. 

Assessment models, graphs, and tables will be used to simplify the presentation of more complex concepts.

Required Prerequisites

The student should possess:

. basic knowledge of physics, chemistry, and biology;

- knowledge of hygiene and public health;

- ability to read and understand technical/regulatory texts.

Attendance of Lessons

Course attendance is mandatory, with a minimum attendance percentage of 75% of the scheduled hours.
