Detailed Course Content

  • Pharmacology

    Neuropsychopharmacology - Antipsychotics; Addiction; contributing factors: genetic polymorphisms and environment. Tolerance: pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics; Physical dependence. Withdrawal syndrome. Ethanol addiction.
    Nonsteroid and steroid anti-inflammatory drugs.

    Antimicrobial chemotherapy - penicillins, cephalosporins and other beta-lactam antibiotics.

    Antiemetics, prokinetics, laxatives, anti-diarrheal drugs.

    Interactions between drugs and nutrients.

  • Internal Medicine

    To provide essential knowledge on the physiopathology of the acute and chronic diseases (e.g. chronic intestinal disease, autoimmune diseases, diabetes, pancreatitis) and to identify their relationship and inter-dependency.
