Expected Learning Outcomes

To promote the knowledge of the neural networks involved in the cognitive processes and scientific  basis of the art therapies. To acquire the theoretical background and methodologies of plastic-figurative  intervention and their application in the field of  the psychiatric rehabilitation.

basic knowledge of SNC anatomy and physiology, neuropsychological functions and normal and patologic mental process (mandatory)

Detailed Course Content

 Visual analysis (geometric models, depth perception,  brightness, objects recognition, visual memory, visual analysis and motor activity,  space and action representation, body scheme, practical organization, visual and spatial coordination, neglect phenomenology, reward, executive functions, attentive processes, perception and agnosia). The graphic arts in psychiatric rehabilitation:  psychoanalytic, cognitive, narrative, systemic-relational approach. Atelier. Techniques of graphic performances. Role of art-therapist.

Learning assessment may also be carried out on line, should the conditions require it.

Oral exam. Elements to be evaluated: relevance of the answers, quality of their contents, ability to connect with other topics within the program, ability to report examples, quality of technical language, and overall expressive ability.
