Fixed-term Assistant Professor (RTDB) of INTERNAL MEDICINE [MED/09]

On 27/07/2011 I designed Roberto Scicali obtained the degree in Medicine and Surgery with vote 110/110 and laude.  In March 2012 Roberto Scicali obtained the qualification to practice. From February 2016 to April 2016 he carried out clinical and research activities at the Pierre et Marie Curie University of Paris (France): this collaboration is nowadays active. On 11/02/2021 Dr. Scicali obtained PhD of Translational Biomedicine at the University of Catania. Dr. Scicali published more than 60 scientific articles in international and national journals. Dr Scicali obtained the national scientific qualification of associate professor (from 06/06/2022 to 06/06/2032). He is reviewer of several international journals: Pharmacological Research; Nutrition, Metabolism & Cardiovascular Diseases; International Journal of Cardiology; Endocrine; International Journal of Molecular Sciences. He is also a member of the Italian Society of Internal Medicine (SIMI), Italian Society of Atherosclerosis (SISA), Italian Society of Diabetes (SID) and the European Atherosclerosis Society (EAS).

  • Travel Grant for the presentation "Detecting familial hypercholesterolemia by screening serum lipid profile in a hospital clinical setting: clinical, genetic and atherosclerotic burden profile"; 85° European Atherosclerosis Society (EAS) International Congress, Prague, Czech Republic, from 23-04-2017 to 26-04-2017.
  • Young Investigator Fellowship for the presentation "High TG to HDL ratio plays a significant role on atherosclerosis extension in prediabetes and newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes subjects"; 89° European Atherosclerosis Society (EAS) International Congress (virtual edition), Helsinki, Finland, from 30-05-2021 to 02-06-2021.
