The research activities are focused on the study of the role of antithrombotic therapy (i.e., antiplatelet agents and/or anticoagulant drugs) in different settings of cardiovascular medicine, including primary prevention, treatment and secondary prevention of cardiovascular diseases (e.g., atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease) or after cardiovascular interventions (e.g., percutaneous coronary intervention, structural interventions). An additional Research field is represented by risk stratification, aiming at selecting the optimal therapy for the individual patient based on their specific ischemic and bleeding risk profiles.
