Aim and scope:

Life sciences have seen an increase of big multimodal datasets that can provide answers to several bio-medical questions. However, their size and complexity make classic approaches not suited due to several limitations. Recently, Artificial Intelligence methodologies have been applied to automatically detect important features in big datasets enabling a deeper study of tumor pathogenesis and evolution, gene interactions, disease trajectories in large populations, and precision medicine. Our main and special lecturers will address such a scope focusing on algorithms, models, biomedical and biotechnological techniques together with clinical applications. From the enclosed bibliography, the selected themes have received much attention in the scholarly literature ranging from Nature and Science to Bioinformatics Journals.
