TECNICHE DI DIAGNOSTICA PER IMMAGINI V

Academic Year 2017/2018 - 2° Year
Teaching Staff Credit Value: 8
Scientific field: MED/36 - DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING AND RADIOTHERAPY
Taught classes: 56 hours
Term / Semester:

Learning Objectives

  • EQUIPMENT AND CONTRAST MEDIA IN CT

The course aims to provide the basic knowledge of CT equipment (gantry, generator, tube, detectors) to subsequently analyze the various CT generations, spiral CT and multidetector CT. Then we take into account the CT parameters, the dose reduction systems, the smart and auto mA and the iterative reconstruction systems. Furthermore, reconstructions and reformattings are treated with MIP, MPR, volume rendering, Minip, virtual endoscopy and retro-reconstructions techniques. Finally the knowledge about the contrasy media are given: radiopaque radiolucent, barite and iodate, ionic and non-ionic, concentration, flow, amount of contrast administered. Hyposmolar and isosmolar contrast media. Adverse reactions and contraindications.

  • TECHNICAL IN CT
    • Students must be know main CT machines; they have to known CT techinical parameters for imaging acquisitions and main MDCT protocols.
