Learning Objectives

• INSTRUMENTS AND TECHNICS OF THE RESPIRATORY SYSTEM

  Provide accurate knowledge of the machines and study techniques for the radiological evaluation of the respiratory system

• vascular radiology

  to make known the imaging diagnostic techniques and their clinical applications with particular reference to cardiovascular and mediastinic structures and the role of the TSRM in this field.

  1. Radiological anatomy of the chest
  2. Chest RX: anatomy, technique of execution, anatomia, tecnica di esecuzione, correctness criteria
  3. Additional radiograms for the radiological evaluation of the chest (projection for apexes)
  4. Chest CT, high resolution technique
  5. Pulmonary Anatomy on HRCT
  6. Protocol study for the evaluation of pulmonary embolism, for the evaluation of thoracic aortic and for the evaluation of pulmonary nodule
  7. Techniques for chest evaluation using MR (lung and mediastinum): main sequences for the imaging study
  8. MR applications for the evaluation of pulmonary and mediastinal diseases

  Notions of main Diagnostic Techniques for ECO, RX, TC, RM, Nuclear Medicine, Interventional Radiology;

  Application of "traditional radiology" to the cardiovascular system;

  Application of TC, Cardio TC and TC angiography in the cardiovascular system;

  Application of RM, Cardio RM and RM in the cardiovascular system;

  Applications of Nuclear Medicine Techniques in the Cardiovascular System;

  General concepts and application of ultrasound techniques in the cardiovascular system;

  General concepts and applications of "interventional radiology" techniques in the cardiovascular system.
