Learning Objectives

• Child and Adolescent Neurology and Psichiatry

  Knowing the basics of mental illness with early onset in childhood and adolescence and their course in adulthood.

• Respiratory diseases

  The course aims to promote the understandingtion of the functions and organization of the Respiratory System. The students will learn the diagnostic procedures, the pathogenesis and clinical aspects of the main respiratory diseases.

• ENDOCRINOLOGIA

  This is a comprehensive study of the endocrine system which will allow the student to integrate and better understand the functions of the other system of the body. The pathological conditions and the diagnostic prodedures to assess the endocrine illness will be discussed.

• general surgery

  Course aimed at learning the surgical pathologies most commonly found in psychiatric patients

• NEUROCHIRURGIA

  To understand epidemiology, classification, clinical features and diagnostic approaches to the most common neurosurgical diseases. To gain experience about clinical correlation between neurosurgical diseases and neuropsichiatric disorders.

  The course takes place with frontal lessons, with the help of power point presentations. At the end of course the student take an oral exam to evaluate knowledge.

  Psychomotor development • Mental delay • Learning Disorders: dysgraphia, dyslexia, dyscalculia, learning disorder not otherwise specified • Communication disorders: Disorder of speech, expression and disorder mixed receptive language, speech disorder, stuttering, communication disorder not otherwise specified •Autism spetrum disorder,, Rett syndrome,• Attention Deficit Disorder / Hyperactivity • Tic Disorders: Tourette syndrome, transient tic disorder, chronic motor tics or vocal • Obsessive compulsive disorder • Anxiety disorders • Mood Disorders • Eating disorders: Anorexia, Bulimia • Enuresis • epilepsies • cerebral palsy microcephaly

  The course allows to acquire skills about glandular disfunction, both hyperfunction and hypofunction deseases, and nodular pathology; the student acquires skill about diagnostic path, with clinical features, analysis laboratory and imaging exams. Furthermore during the course the student studyes pathophysiology of metabolic deseases like diabetes and obesity and its related complications .
